Já há nomeados para os MTV VMAs 2024

A MTV acaba de revelar os nomeados para os VMAs 2024, a celebração anual que dá destaque aos artistas cujo impacto cultural e trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do último ano revolucionaram a indústria musical e geraram buzz global. O espetáculo será transmitido ao vivo para todo o mundo a partir de Nova York, na madrugada de 10 para 11 de setembro, terça para quarta-feira, às 01:00 (hora portuguesa).

Com 10 nomeações, Taylor Swift lidera, procurando retomar a sequência de vitórias na categoria Video of the Year e assim quebrar o seu próprio recorde ao tornar-se na primeira artista a vencer este prémio pela quinta vez.

Taylor Swift é seguida de perto pelo artista com quem colaborou em Fortnight, Post Malone, que reúne nove nomeações. Segue-se Ariana Grande, Eminem e Sabrina Carpenter, com seis cada; Megan Thee Stallion e SZA, com cinco; e LISA, Olivia Rodrigo e Teddy Swims, com quatro.

Sabrina Carpenter e Teddy Swims encontram-se entre os 29 estreantes na corrida aos VMAs, juntamente com os restantes "rookies" multi-nomeados Benson Boone e Tyla (três indicações cada), e Chappell Roan, Jelly Roll, Jessie Murph, Rauw Alejandro, Sexyy Red e Victoria Monét (duas cada). Esta lista dos novatos inclui ainda Alexander Stewart, Burna Boy, Coco Jones, Flyana Boss, Gracie Abrams, Gunna, Joyner Lucas, Laufey, LE SSERAFIM, Lojay, Morgan Wallen, Myke Towers, NCT Dream, Pheelz, Playboi Carti, RAYE, Shaboozey, Tyler Childers e The Warning.

Os fãs de todo o mundo já podem votar nos seus favoritos em 15 categorias de género neutro, incluindo o altamente cobiçado Video of the Year, Best Collaboration e Artist of the Year, entre outras. Para tal, basta aceder a vote.mtv.com até sexta-feira, dia 30 de agosto. A categoria Best New Artist permanecerá ativa até ao dia do espetáculo, 10 de setembro. Os nomeados para as categorias com votação via social media serão anunciados em breve.

OS MTV VMAs 2024 regressam assim a Nova York com transmissão ao vivo em mais de 150 países a partir da UBS Arena para celebrar os maiores nomes da música na madrugada de terça para quarta-feira, de 10 para 11 de setembro, às 01:00 (hora portuguesa), prometendo surpresas épicas, performances únicas e uma assistência repleta de fãs.

Bruce Gillmer e Jess Ignjatovic, cofundador do Den of Thieves, são os Executive Producers dos MTV VMAs 2024. Barb Bialkowski é a Co-Executive Producer. Alicia Portugal e Jackie Barba são os Executives in Charge of Production. Wendy Plaut é a Executive in Charge of Celebrity Talent. Lisa Lauricella é a Music Talent Executive.
